DASAC delivers sewing machines to San Cristóbal development center
The Dirección de Asistencia Social y Alimentación Comunitaria (DASAC) has delivered nine modern sewing machines to the Centro de Promoción y Ayuda para el Desarrollo Playa Linda in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic.
Edgar Augusto Féliz Arbona, the Director General of DASAC, stated that the equipment is intended to foster economic independence and self-employment for local women. He noted that the donation follows previous efforts by the administration, including the installation of a roof for the facility. The initiative is part of a broader commitment by President Luis Abinader Corona to support vulnerable families and provide vocational tools for improved quality of life.
Adalgisa Valdez Isabel, the director of the religious congregation managing the center, expressed gratitude to the government for fulfilling the community's needs.
