DASAC provides emergency household aid to Dominican families

The Department of Social Assistance and Community Aid (DASAC) has provided essential household goods and appliances to families in the Dominican Republic affected by recent disasters.

In Barahona, DASAC delivered household items to two families in the Villa Central municipal district following a fire that destroyed their belongings. This initiative is part of the government's social policy to support vulnerable populations during emergencies.

In Dajabón, the agency provided televisions, refrigerators, stoves, beds, and furniture to families in the La Ciénaga and Lajas Campeche communities. These families had previously suffered damage to their homes due to heavy rains and strong winds. This distribution followed an initial phase of assistance that focused on repairing damaged roofs and providing construction materials.
