Dasara festival box office features Jailer 2 and Ranabaali clash

The upcoming Dasara festival weekend features a crowded film release schedule, though industry analysis suggests the primary box office competition will be a two-way battle between major productions.

'Jailer 2', a sequel starring Rajinikanth and directed by Nelson, is scheduled for release on October 15. Meanwhile, 'Ranabaali', a high-budget period drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan and starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, is set for October 16.

Other films entering the festival window include 'Crazy Kalyanam', 'Garividi Lakshmi', and 'Summer Holidays'. While these three titles are also releasing during the period, they are positioned as smaller-scale productions compared to the heavy-weight competition from 'Jailer 2' and 'Ranabaali'. The removal of Venkatesh’s 'Aadarsha Kutumbam' from the schedule has further concentrated the market focus on the two lead films.
