Dash Daniels prepares to face former team Melbourne United

Dash Daniels, an 18-year-old guard in the NBL Next Star program, is preparing to face his former team, Melbourne United, following his move to the South East Melbourne Phoenix. Daniels transitioned to the Phoenix to seek more playing time after a rookie season with Melbourne United where his minutes were inconsistent.

Daniels has recently shown improved performance, including a career-high 24 points and 12 rebounds in a season-opening win against the Perth Wildcats. He attributed some of his development to off-season training with NBA shooting coach Wes Matthews in Atlanta. The young player noted the importance of staying grounded despite public and social media scrutiny related to his family's basketball legacy.
