Dashbit expands Elixir development team and announces new open-source goals
Dashbit, a company focused on helping organizations adopt the Elixir programming language, has announced several strategic updates for its development and open-source initiatives. To address growing demand and long waiting periods for its Elixir Development Subscription, the company is expanding its subscription team from three to four engineers. This team includes key contributors such as José Valim, Wojtek Mach, Jonatan Kłosko, and Steffen Deusch.
In terms of open-source development, Dashbit aims to introduce type inference for patterns and guards in Elixir v1.19 by May 2025, with potential type annotations for structs in November 2025. Additionally, the company has released nimble_zta, a new library designed to implement Zero Trust Auth (ZTA) for Plug and Phoenix web applications. The library supports identity and access control through providers such as Cloudflare, Google Cloud Platform, and Tailscale, allowing developers to leverage cloud-based authentication for private applications.
