Dassault Systèmes launches GPU‑accelerated PowerFLOW for aerospace CFD

Dassault Systèmes announced a GPU‑accelerated implementation of its SIMULIA PowerFLOW CFD solution, built on NVIDIA GPU architecture. The new multi‑GPU code is designed to cut simulation times, lower infrastructure costs and reduce power consumption, offering a more sustainable and agile workflow for high‑fidelity aerodynamic, aeroacoustic and thermal analyses in automotive and aerospace programmes.

In parallel, the aerospace sector is increasingly turning to tailored manufacturing of custom components. By engineering parts for specific operating conditions—such as extreme temperatures, weight constraints or unique certification requirements—manufacturers can improve structural strength, reduce weight, boost fuel efficiency and enhance overall system reliability. The approach addresses gaps where standard off‑the‑shelf parts cannot meet the performance or regulatory demands of advanced aircraft, spacecraft and defence projects.
