Data centers are emerging as a significant driver of employment within the European technology sector, according to a report by the job platform Indeed. As artificial intelligence drives demand for infrastructure, the expansion of these facilities is creating new opportunities even as other areas of the tech sector face job losses.

In Germany, job postings related to data centers have increased by 8 percent, with up to 120 new facilities planned nationwide. However, the development is geographically uneven; while Hessen is a leader in expansion, five German states currently have no new construction plans.

Other European nations are seeing even more rapid growth in this sector. Job postings in Ireland have surged by 73 percent, and in Spain, they have risen by approximately 60 percent.
