Data4 reports improvements in data center energy and water efficiency

Data4 has released its 2025 ESG report, detailing the environmental impact and efficiency metrics of its data center operations. The report highlights significant improvements in resource management, noting a 10.7% improvement in Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) since 2021. The company currently utilizes 100% low-emission energy and aims to achieve net-zero emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2030.

Regarding water conservation, the company reported a 44% decrease in its Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) since 2021, reaching a value of 0.034 in 2025. To support high-density AI systems, Data4 has launched its first ‘Direct Liquid Cooling by Design’ project, which is estimated to reduce the environmental impact of cooling by up to 40% compared to traditional methods.
