Databricks expands New York office footprint and eyes future IPO

Data and AI software company Databricks is expanding its physical presence in New York City by doubling its office space at 5 Bryant Park. The firm will occupy five floors totaling 120,000 square feet in the Midtown tower, less than a year after its initial move into the building.

Regarding its financial trajectory, Databricks remains a private company with no announced initial public offering (IPO) date or public S-1 filing as of October 2026. While CEO Ali Ghodsi has confirmed the company intends to go public, he has indicated there is no immediate urgency to list, citing potential distractions from public markets. The company was most recently valued at $190 billion following recent financing rounds.
