Datadobi launches Data Access Governance for StorageMAP

Datadobi has announced the general availability of Data Access Governance (DAG) within its StorageMAP platform. This new capability is designed to provide organizations with visibility into who has access to their unstructured data and whether those permissions align with established corporate policies.

The tool aims to address challenges posed by rising data complexity, cyber threats, and the requirements of AI initiatives. By surfacing access permissions across fragmented environments, the DAG capability allows administrators to detect misaligned permissions, reduce cyber exposure, and enforce governance at scale.

This addition extends StorageMAP’s existing suite of tools, which includes data discovery, classification, risk assessment, lifecycle management, and AI data readiness. The integration is intended to help enterprises protect sensitive data, maintain records compliance, and prepare unstructured data for use in AI workflows.
