Dataprev to auction Botafogo headquarters during relocation

Dataprev, the public company responsible for Social Security information technology, is auctioning its current headquarters in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. The 22,000-square-meter building, consisting of 20 floors, is scheduled for auction on the 30th with an initial bid of R$ 138.78 million.

The company is relocating approximately 1,200 employees to the Edifício Ventura in downtown Rio de Janeiro. Dataprev has signed a contract worth approximately R$ 220 million to occupy more than 10,000 square meters within the Ventura complex, which is managed by BGRE.

The decision to sell the Botafogo property follows five years of technical, operational, and economic studies. These evaluations considered various scenarios, including partial renovations of the existing building. The current starting bid is roughly 20.7% higher than a 2019 valuation by Caixa Econômica Federal, which estimated the property at R$ 115 million.
