Datavault AI misses Q2 earnings estimates amid widening losses
Datavault AI reported second-quarter earnings that missed Wall Street expectations, resulting in a significant drop in share price. The company reported an earnings per share (EPS) loss of $0.12, which was wider than the $0.03 loss analysts had anticipated. The net loss for the quarter increased to $88 million, more than double the $37.1 million loss reported in the previous year.
Despite the financial results and a subsequent stock plunge, the company is pursuing an aggressive expansion strategy. This includes the completed acquisition of exchange operator NYIAX and a definitive agreement to acquire the Wyoming-chartered BankWyse. CEO Nathaniel Bradley reaffirmed the company’s long-term revenue target of $200 million for 2026, focusing on data monetization through tokenization, financial infrastructure, banking, and cybersecurity.
Datavault AI is also collaborating with Available Networks on the development of an AI supercomputer to support its growth initiatives.
