Datavault AI to acquire BankWyse to expand digital asset services

Datavault AI, a company specializing in data monetization and real-world asset tokenization, has announced its acquisition of BankWyse, a financial institution based in Wyoming.

BankWyse operates under a Special Purpose Depository Institution (SPDI) charter. This regulatory framework, established in 2020, allows institutions to provide banking and custodial services for digital assets while operating under specific limitations, such as being required to hold 100% against deposits without engaging in traditional lending.

Datavault AI intends to use this acquisition to complete its data monetization ecosystem. The company plans to use artificial intelligence to value and tokenize customer assets, which will then be held in custody and made available for purchase or sale on its exchanges.
