Dativa launches interactive usability study in Latvia
The IT company Dativa is conducting Latvia’s first usability study regarding website ease of use through an interactive game-based survey. To improve user experience research, designers have introduced a main character, Uksīte, to guide respondents through the questions and digital visualizations.
Dativa Director Edžus Žeiris stated that the study aims to identify user preferences, pain points, and icon choices to improve the digital environment. The results will be made available to the entire Latvian design community. Žeiris emphasized that while global methodologies often align with local needs, designers must account for specific Latvian user experiences and preferences rather than automatically adopting foreign models.
Arnis Kaktiņš, Director of the research center SKDS, noted that this interactive approach is a new method in Latvia, transforming respondents from passive answer-givers into active participants.
