Datsun Z series legacy and vintage 260Z availability
The Datsun Z series, including the 240Z, 260Z, and 280Z, remains a highly regarded line of iconic coupes produced between 1969 and 1978. Known as the Nissan Fairlady Z in the Japanese market, the series challenged the American pony car market by offering performance comparable to European models like the Porsche 911T at a significantly lower cost.
A 1974 Datsun 260Z, described as a low-rust survivor from Eastern Washington, is currently available through Giordano’s Vintage Motors. The vehicle features a 4-speed manual transmission and includes an early L24 engine. While the car requires cosmetic attention and has some surface corrosion, it retains much of its original interior and body shape.
