Datuk Ismail Lasim appointed Chairman of Negeri Sembilan FC

Datuk Ismail Lasim, the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, has been appointed as the new Chairman of Negeri Sembilan Football Club (NSFC). The appointment, announced by Tunku Syed Razman Ibni Tunku Syed Idrus Al-Qadri, follows the resignation of Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

Datuk Ismail previously served as the team manager during the 1990s and early 2000s. His leadership is expected to focus on strategic direction, professional development, and strengthening cooperation between the club, the Negeri Sembilan Football Association (PBNS), and the state government.

Under his new chairmanship, NSFC has set a goal to finish within the top five of the 2026/2027 Super League season, improving upon their seventh-place finish last season. The club has implemented changes to its roster and coaching staff, including the introduction of new head coach Daniel Gimenez Alcaniz from Spain.
