Daugavpils robbery investigation referred to prosecutors

The State Police of Latvia have completed an investigation into a robbery that occurred in Daugavpils on June 27. Three men targeted a man born in 1962, following him and approaching him from behind in a courtyard near a retail store.

During the attack, one perpetrator used force to place a bag over the victim's head while another stole his handbag. The stolen items included a passport, a bank card, a wristwatch, and a mobile phone.

Police detained two suspects on the day of the incident and subsequently apprehended a third individual. All three men have been placed under non-custodial security measures. The case has been referred to the prosecutor's office to initiate criminal proceedings for robbery committed by a group with prior agreement.
