Daughters of the American Revolution honors local veterans

The Dorcas Richardson Trenton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) held a meeting on September 14 at the Grundy County Museum Annex. During the event, the chapter utilized its Patriot of the Month program to honor two veterans.

Ryan Williams was recognized as the September Patriot of the Month for his service in the Army National Guard from 1994 to 2014, which included deployments to Iraq and service during Hurricane Katrina. Vince Fender was named the October Patriot of the Month, honoring his service in the Army Reserve from 1989 to 2023, including deployments to Iraq and Haiti.

Following the meeting, chapter members visited KTTN Radio to present certificates of appreciation to John Anthony, Carol Ausberger, and other employees for their community support and broadcasting service.
