Daule: Armed group stages false raid in La Joya urbanization

Armed individuals staged a false raid at the La Joya urbanization in the La Aurora parish of Daule during the early hours of Sunday, August 16. Approximately at 02:30, two trucks carrying heavily armed men dressed in military and police-style uniforms forced their way into the residential area.

The perpetrators reportedly used the guise of a legal raid to attempt the extraction of an individual from within the complex. During the incursion, the criminals damaged parts of the surveillance system and stole mobile phones from the security guards at the gate.

The administration of the Turquesa stage noted that the high-caliber weaponry and organized crime tactics used by the group exceed the material and legal capabilities of private security firms. Local authorities have been notified, and the administration is cooperating with investigations to clarify the incident.
