DAV hosts free climbing and bouldering day in Bavaria on 18 July 2026

The German Alpine Club (DAV) is offering a free introductory climbing and bouldering day on 18 July 2026 as part of The North Face Global Climbing Day. The event will take place at DAV’s climbing centres in Bad Tölz, Thalkirchen and Freimann. Participants can try climbing and bouldering without prior experience; equipment such as shoes and harnesses is provided, and entry is free for first‑time registrants between 10:00 and 16:00.

All visitors, including regular members, receive a 20 % discount on the centre’s bistro menu. The day also includes an introductory challenge with a prize draw, a photo spot for first climbs, and activity aimed at families and beginners.

The promotion is intended to encourage new participants to take up the sport and to showcase DAV’s facilities across the region.
