British heavyweight Dave Allen has publicly offered to fight former unified champion Andy Ruiz Jr. as a potential comeback opportunity for the Mexican-American boxer.

Ruiz Jr. is looking to rebuild his career following a unanimous decision loss to Damian Knyba in September 2026 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The defeat came after Ruiz Jr. had previously experienced a period of inactivity and a controversial draw against Jarrell Miller.

Allen, a Doncaster-based fighter, expressed strong interest in the matchup during an interview with IFL TV, noting that he would welcome the high-profile contest as he approaches his 40th and final professional bout. Allen is reportedly aiming for a return to the ring in December, with a potential clash against Ruiz Jr. envisioned for 2027.
