Dave Boyle's horror film 'Never After Dark' set for US release

Director Dave Boyle is returning with the supernatural horror thriller ‘Never After Dark’. The film follows Airi, a medium played by Moeka Hoshi, who assists restless spirits in finding peace. Her routine is disrupted when she is summoned to an isolated rural estate, where she encounters a hostile presence that defies her spiritual expertise.

The film has already garnered critical acclaim on the festival circuit, winning the SXSW Midnighter Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize at the Overlook Film Festival. Renowned author Stephen King described the work as ‘surprising and unsettling,’ while director Scott Derrickson called it ‘intelligent, unpredictable, and bone-chilling.’

Magnolia Pictures and Magnet Releasing will handle the North American distribution. The film is scheduled to arrive in select United States theaters on September 25.
