Dave Filoni confirms Mortis Gods return in Ahsoka Season 2

Dave Filoni, co-president of Lucasfilm, has confirmed that the Mortis Gods will play a significant role in the second season of the Disney+ series ‘Ahsoka’. The deities, originally introduced in the animated series ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’, represent the light, dark, and balanced aspects of the Force.

The inclusion of these figures follows the first season's finale, which featured massive statues of the gods on the planet Peridea. Filoni noted that the season will explore themes of belief and the challenges of wielding power, asking, “What is the danger if it’s real?” and “What would a Jedi do, versus what would a regular person do?”

Production for the new season included filming in the United Kingdom. The cast features returning actors Rosario Dawson and Natasha Liu Bordizzo, alongside Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. The upcoming season is expected to continue the journey of Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren as they navigate the mysteries of the Force and the perils of the galaxy.
