Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr. star in new comedy ‘Idiots’

The independent comedy film ‘Idiots’ is set for a theatrical release in September. Directed by Macon Blair, the film follows two unqualified coworkers, David (played by O’Shea Jackson Jr.) and Mark (played by Dave Franco), who are tasked with transporting a troubled teenager, Sheridan (played by Mason Thames), to a rehabilitation center.

The journey, intended to be a simple job, quickly descends into chaos involving mischief, drugs, and danger. Despite the mayhem, director Macon Blair describes the project as a “fundamentally warmhearted story about found friendships” involving desperate people doing their best.

The film was an official selection at both the Sundance Film Festival and the SXSW Film and TV Festival. The cast includes several notable actors, such as Kiernan Shipka, Nicholas Braun, Killer Mike, and Peter Dinklage.
