Dave Lombardo and Lustmord announce new project LUSTMORD LOMBARDO

Musicians Lustmord, a pioneer of ambient electronic music, and Dave Lombardo, former drummer for Slayer, have announced a new collaborative project titled LUSTMORD LOMBARDO. The duo is set to release their debut album, ‘The Pulse Of Atoms’, on October 2 via Ipecac Recordings.

The project features the release of the track ‘Paleomagnetic Resonance’. Lustmord described the album as an attempt to create a unique sound that transcends specific genres or time periods, aiming to evoke the ‘sound of planets dying or of stars being born’ rather than traditional rock and roll.

The collaboration follows a meeting between the two artists backstage at a Fantômas show, facilitated by Buzz Osborne. The album is characterized by Lustmord’s evolving walls of sound and Lombardo’s percussion and synthesizer layers. Pre-orders for the album, including vinyl and CD formats, are currently available.
