David Alaba makes Serie A debut in Udinese loss to Torino

David Alaba made his Serie A debut for Udinese on Monday night, coming on as a substitute in the 73rd minute during a 2-1 defeat against Torino. The 34-year-old Austrian international, who joined the club on a free transfer following his departure from Real Madrid, saw his first competitive appearance since the World Cup in July.

Torino took an early lead through Daniel Braganca in the 35th minute, but Jurgen Ekkelenkamp equalized for Udinese shortly before halftime. The decisive moment occurred in the 67th minute when Sandro Kulenovic scored after a mistake by Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, who collided with a teammate while attempting to clear the ball.

Following his introduction, Alaba was involved in a heated exchange with the referee in the 85th minute regarding an offside decision. The loss marks Udinese's fourth consecutive defeat in the league, leaving the club in 15th place after six rounds of competition.
