David Badía appointed head coach of Haiti national football team

The Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF) has appointed Spanish coach David Badía as the new head coach of the Haiti national football team, known as the Grenadiers. Badía, 51, succeeds Sébastien Migné.

Badía brings diverse international experience to the role, having previously worked with the FC Barcelona academy, Almería, and Fenerbahçe. His coaching career also includes stints with clubs such as AEK Larnaca, Ethnikos Achna, and Lechia Gdańsk.

His first major assignment will be leading the team in the Concacaf Nations League. Haiti is placed in League A, Group A, alongside Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic, Curaçao, and Nicaragua. The team is scheduled to begin its campaign on September 24 against Trinidad and Tobago, followed by a match against Costa Rica.
