David Beckles wins J60 Accra boys’ singles title

American teenager David Beckles has secured his second J60 Accra boys’ singles title at the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors in Ghana. Beckles achieved the victory by overcoming France’s Antoine Baudot in a three-set comeback final.

After losing the opening set 6-3, Beckles regained momentum to win the second set 6-1 and the deciding set 6-3. The match took place at the National Tennis Centre at the Accra Sports Stadium. Prior to the final, Beckles defeated Ghana’s Kingsley Alormenu in the semi-finals, while Baudot advanced by defeating Mannan Ashok Agarwal.

The tournament was organized in partnership with the Ghana Tennis Federation and Tennis Foundation Ghana. The event serves as a platform for international junior players to gain ranking points as Accra prepares to host a higher-tier J100 tournament.
