David Byrne writes song for Elon Musk documentary

David Byrne, the frontman of Talking Heads, has written a song titled ‘Let Me Sell You a Dream’ for an upcoming documentary about Elon Musk. Co-written with composer Daniel Pemberton, the song’s lyrics consist entirely of unedited quotes from Musk, sourced from the internet to capture his direct statements.

The documentary, directed by Alex Gibney, is described as an ‘unvarnished investigation’ into the life and actions of the billionaire. Gibney, known for works such as ‘Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room’, expressed enthusiasm for Byrne’s involvement, describing the resulting track as ‘intense, sarcastic poetry.’

Elon Musk has already criticized the film, characterizing it as an ‘attack’ on him. The documentary is scheduled for theatrical release on October 16.
