David Douděra transfers from Slavia Prague to FC Cincinnati

Czech footballer David Douděra has transferred from Slavia Prague to FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer (MLS). The 28-year-old midfielder and defender has signed a contract through the end of the 2027/28 season, with an option for an additional year.

Douděra will join fellow Czech international Pavel Bucha in Cincinnati. FC Cincinnati General Manager Chris Albright praised Douděra as an experienced player who will bring quality, energy, and a winning mentality to the squad.

The move follows Douděra's exclusion from the Slavia Prague first team after a May derby match due to disciplinary issues. While teammate Tomáš Chorý was later reinstated to the squad following an intervention by club owner Pavel Tykač, Douděra remained sidelined, facilitating his departure. During his tenure at Slavia, which began in 2022, Douděra won two league titles and one domestic cup, making 153 competitive appearances.
