David F. Sandberg to direct Lionsgate horror film ‘Mommy’s Home’

Director David F. Sandberg has been selected to helm the upcoming psychological horror film “Mommy’s Home” for Lionsgate. Written by James Morosini, the story centers on a young father whose life becomes terrifying when his cryogenically preserved mother is unfrozen and sent to live with him.

Sandberg is recognized for his work on “Lights Out,” “Shazam!,” and its sequel, as well as the upcoming “Until Dawn” adaptation. He will produce the film through his company, Mångata, alongside Lotta Losten. Other producers include Craig Flores, Dawn Olmstead, and Anonymous Content.
