David Foster hosts star-studded anniversary concert in Victoria
An estimated crowd of 35,000 to 40,000 people gathered at Victoria’s Inner Harbour and the B.C. Legislature grounds on Saturday, August 8, 2026, for the David Foster & Friends 40th Anniversary Concert. The free event served as the finale for a weekend celebrating the 40th anniversary of the David Foster Foundation, which was established in 1986 to support Canadian families with children requiring life-saving organ transplants.
The concert featured a lineup of performers, including Josh Groban, Katharine McPhee, CeeLo Green, Pia Toscano, and The Tenors. David Foster performed on piano, describing his set as a “love letter to Victoria.” The festivities included an aerial appearance by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and CF-18 fighter jets, a drone show, and a fireworks display.
The weekend celebrations included a black-tie anniversary gala held on Friday, which raised $14.5 million for the foundation. The organization has supported approximately 1,600 Canadian families to date.
