David García Zurita Wins 400m Gold at Spanish U23 Championships in Cáceres

David García Zurita of the Badajoz-Extremadura club won the men's 400‑metre title at the Spanish Under‑23 Championships in Cáceres, clocking a season‑best 46.01 seconds. His victory continued a strong showing for the region, following Jorge Hernández’s 100‑metre gold in 10.37 seconds on Saturday.

Helio Marco, also from the Badajoz‑Extremadura club, earned bronze in the 400 m with a time of 46.61 seconds, completing a club double on the podium. In other events, Óscar Gaitán took silver in the 5,000 m, while Daniel López finished sixth in the 1,500 m. The men's 4 × 100 m relay team (Arturo Armisen, Jorge Hernández, Carlos Albarrán, Helio Marco) failed to advance, and the women's relay placed fifth with a personal best.

Additional performances included Paula López (fourth in high jump), Julia Suárez Piza (bronze in the 10‑km race walk), and Andrea Buenavida (fourth in the 3,000 m obstacles) achieving personal bests.
