David Jonsson Cast as New Black Panther for 2028 Marvel Film

Marvel Studios announced at San Diego Comic-Con that British actor David Jonsson will portray Prince T'Challa II, also known as Toussaint, in the upcoming Black Panther 3. The film is slated for release on December 15, 2028.

Jonsson, 32, is known for a range of television, film and stage roles. The character he will play is the son of Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and the late King T'Challa, portrayed by Chadwick Boseman. Director Ryan Coogler praised the casting decision, saying it fits the talent and visual requirements for the iconic role.
