In an interview with STAR, Krautz described the convicted pilot as a coward and a narcissist, noting that the perpetrator waited until his wife was asleep before suffocating her with a pillow.

Krautz also shared updates regarding his 6-year-old granddaughter, Lydia. She is currently living in the Philippines with her grandmother to ensure a normal life away from the trauma associated with the events in Greece. According to Krautz, Lydia is currently unaware of the circumstances surrounding her mother's death.
