David Krumholtz joins HBO miniseries The Trial of Louise Woodward

Actor David Krumholtz is returning to acting following a brief hiatus. After expressing feelings of being ‘frustrated, fed up, fried’ with the industry in August, Krumholtz has joined the cast of the upcoming HBO miniseries ‘The Trial of Louise Woodward’.

Krumholtz will portray criminal defense attorney Harvey Silverglate. The production also features Samantha Mathis as Wilma Spellman, Stephen Kunken as Andrew Good, and Warren Brown as Gary Woodward. Other cast members include Catriona Chandler in the title role and Hugh Laurie as the presiding judge.

The true crime series is based on a 1997 case involving an 18-year-old British au pair accused of shaking a baby to death while in the care of an American family. The incident drew significant international media attention at the time.
