David Lee Roth Cancels US Tour Dates, Sammy Hagar Offers Support

David Lee Roth has removed all but one of the remaining dates on his 2026 U.S. "Don’t Love Me, Rent Me" tour. The only show still listed on his website is the August 7 appearance at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. No official explanation has been provided; media reports have suggested possible low ticket sales or health concerns.

Roth’s tour began on April 16 in Washington state and was scheduled to run through September, with several additional North‑American dates added earlier in the year, including venues in Canada and the United States. After the cancellations were posted on July 23, former Van Halen vocalist Sammy Hagar posted a video message expressing sympathy, saying he hoped Roth was “well” and that there was no physical problem. Hagar, who replaced Roth in Van Halen in the 1980s, also invited Roth to join his own Las Vegas residency in September, offering him a chance to perform and MC the shows.
