David Lindgren praises record participation at Bullerby Cup in Vimmerby

Cup general David Lindgren said the 48th edition of the Bullerby Cup was a success, noting that 232 teams and about 3,700 children took part in the three‑day youth football tournament in Vimmerby. Around 700 volunteers from Vimmerby IF and partner clubs in Storebro, Södra Vi, Frödinge and the new collaborator Djursdala SK helped run the event.

Lindgren highlighted the positive feedback from participants and praised the organisation, including the quality of the catering overseen by Olof Falk. He said the tournament may have reached its maximum size but expressed confidence that the cup will continue to provide memorable experiences for young players.

The event also saw the inclusion of Djursdala SK as a new partner, providing additional accommodation facilities for teams. Organisers aim to keep the cup around the 230‑team level in future editions.
