David Makai elected chairman of Schülerunion Österreich

David Makai, 19, has been elected as the new federal chairman of the Schülerunion Österreich (Austrian Student Union) during the organization's 54th federal congress in Tulln. Makai received 96.20% of the delegate votes, succeeding Maximilian Pech.

The Schülerunion Österreich is the largest student organization in the country, boasting over 30,000 members. The organization provides various services, including legal assistance for schools and continuing education. It holds significant influence in Austrian education policy, maintaining 23 of the 29 mandates in the Federal Student Representation (BSV) for the 2025/26 school year.
