David Martínez restores vintage motorcycles in Granada

David Martínez, a restaurateur from Benalúa de las Villas, Granada, balances his career in hospitality with a deep passion for restoring and collecting vintage motorcycles. Since opening his bar-restaurant, Boliche, in 1987, his establishment has also served as a gathering place for motorcycle enthusiasts.

Martínez describes his interest in collecting as having a “detective-like interest,” as he seeks to uncover the historical context of each object he restores. He views the process of bringing defunct machines back to life as a way to connect with the past and explore the eras in which they were created.
