David McCormack leaves FC Bayern Munich amid interest from ACB clubs

David McCormack, a 27-year-old American center, has left FC Bayern Munich following the termination of his contract. The move comes as the Munich-based club shifts its strategy toward younger talent, opting to promote five academy players to the extended roster instead of renewing veteran contracts.

McCormack, a former NCAA champion with Kansas and experienced EuroLeague player, is currently a target for Spanish ACB teams Baskonia and Unicaja. Standing 2.08 meters tall and weighing 113 kilograms, he is noted for his physical presence, rebounding, and ability to finish near the rim.

In addition to McCormack, FC Bayern Munich is also parting ways with veteran Elias Harris. The club has bolstered its frontcourt by signing Johannes Thiemann and Austin Wiley.
