David Mora, 29, has turned himself in to police following a deadly eight-car pileup in Oxnard, California. Mora faces two felony counts of murder after allegedly running a red light in a 2018 GMC Sierra pickup on Sept. 25.

The collision involved two other vehicles, a 1998 Toyota Avalon and a 2005 Honda Civic, which were traveling through the intersection on a green light. The drivers of those vehicles, two men aged 31 and 58, were pronounced dead at the scene. Five other individuals were injured in the crash, with four requiring hospitalization.

Mora, a Santa Paula resident and engineer, was taken into custody by Oxnard police eight days after the incident. He has been transferred to the Ventura County Jail with bail set at $5 million. He is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on Oct. 6.
