David Moyes reports lull in Everton contract talks

The uncertainty surrounding his long-term future follows the announcement by club owners, The Friedkin Group, that they are exploring a sale of their controlling interest. Moyes noted that while there were significant discussions during the summer, the potential sale has paused progress on new terms as the club attempts to get things in order.

Despite the administrative uncertainty, Everton has seen a positive start to the current Premier League campaign, remaining unbeaten through six games and sitting in fifth place. The team is preparing for an upcoming match against Chelsea at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
