David Njoku carted off with knee injury during Chargers vs. Raiders game

Los Angeles Chargers tight end David Njoku was carted off the field during the second quarter of a Week 2 game against the Las Vegas Raiders at SoFi Stadium. Njoku suffered a knee injury while blocking on a running play, prompting medical staff to use a cart to transport him to the locker room.

Initially listed as questionable, the veteran Pro Bowler was officially ruled out for the remainder of the matchup. Before his injury, Njoku had recorded one reception for nine yards on three targets. With Njoku sidelined, the Chargers utilized Charlie Kolar and Oronde Gadsden to fill the role in the offense. The Chargers ultimately lost the game 26-14.
