David Omolola Remanded in Lagos Over Property Dispute with Widow

A 63‑year‑old Lagos father‑in‑law, David Omolola, was arraigned and remanded in police custody after being charged with threatening to kill his daughter‑in‑law, Tosin Omolola, and assaulting her. The charges stem from a property dispute over the assets of his late son, Hammed Omolola, eight days after the son’s death. The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency took up the case following public attention, ensuring it proceeded before a court. The charge sheet, signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Oluwatoyin Kazeem, cites offences under sections 168(d) and 232 of the Lagos State Criminal Laws, relating to breach of peace and threats to kill. The incident occurred in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
