David Pagou seeks record with Cameroon national team

Cameroon national team coach David Pagou is positioned to set new records during the upcoming FIFA international window in November. If Pagou secures two victories in the scheduled matches, he will surpass the record held by former coach Marc Brys, who achieved seven wins and five draws in his first 12 matches.

Achieving these results would also make Pagou the only Cameroonian coach to reach eight victories within his first year in charge. The Lions Indomptables are set to face Namibia twice: once on November 12 at Japoma Stadium for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, and again on November 26 in Windhoek.

Following a recent draw against the Republic of the Congo, the technical staff aims to maintain their lead in Group G. Pagou is expected to officially announce his squad list during a press conference at the FECAFOOT headquarters.
