David Pastrnak enters new Bruins season motivated and healthy

Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak enters the upcoming season in high spirits and improved physical condition. After managing tendon issues in previous off-seasons, Pastrnak focused on running and tennis training to restore his conditioning without intensive medical intervention.

Pastrnak is coming off a productive 100-point season, recording 29 goals and a career-high 71 assists. While his goal total was lower than in previous years, Bruins coach Marco Sturm expressed confidence in his playmaking ability and intelligence, noting that Pastrnak’s ability to create scoring opportunities for linemates remains a vital asset.

As the team prepares for the season opener on September 29, General Manager Don Sweeney is considering appointing a new captain, with Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy among the primary candidates. Pastrnak has stated his focus remains on his individual performance regardless of any official title.
