David Richards and Phil Mills compete in Cilwendeg road rally

Motorsport veteran David Richards and legendary co-driver Phil Mills participated in the Cilwendeg road rally in Wales. Moving away from high-budget professional racing, the pair competed in the novice category using a borrowed $3,500 Suzuki Swift instead of professional rally machinery.

Richards, who is serving his final year as chairman of Motorsport UK, initiated the challenge to participate in all 14 disciplines managed by the organization. The duo navigated a 116-mile route through the challenging rural terrain of Newcastle Emlyn, seeking to tackle what is considered one of the most difficult road rallies in the world.
