David Rittich leads New Jersey Devils to victory over Islanders

In NHL preseason action, David Rittich led the New Jersey Devils to a 2-1 victory over the New York Islanders. Rittich, playing against his former club, made 21 saves with a 95.7% success rate and was named the second star of the game.

Dominik Badinka opened the scoring for Carolina in a matchup against the Florida Panthers, though Carolina ultimately lost 3-6. In another contest, Martin Nečas recorded an assist to help the Colorado Avalanche defeat Utah 4-1.

Other Czech players featured in the preseason games include Vítek Vaněček, Vladimír Dravecký, Ondřej Palát, and Tomáš Poletín for the Islanders, as well as Jakub Málek and Matyáš Melovský for the Devils.
