David Sarkisyan loses job after son spends $118,000 on YouTube ads
A nine-year-old boy, known online as Mighty Mike Plays, reportedly spent approximately $118,480 on YouTube advertising for his Minecraft and Roblox videos using his father's corporate credit card.
The father, David Sarkisyan, stated that the incident occurred after he saved his business card details to a shared Google account for a small $20 promotional test. Over a three-week period, the child independently launched multiple advertising campaigns. While the ads successfully drove significant traffic, including several videos reaching 200,000 views, the resulting debt has caused severe personal and professional consequences.
Sarkisyan reported that his employer terminated his employment following an internal review of the unusual charges and is seeking full reimbursement within 30 days. To meet this financial obligation, the family has discussed the possibility of selling their home. Sarkisyan has expressed a commitment to resolving the debt personally rather than through crowdfunding.
